Southern Christian Church is committed to the safety and equity of vulnerable people.

We seek to embed the safety of vulnerable people in organisational leadership, governance and culture.

We seek to ensure that physical and online environments promote safety and wellbeing for all involved.

We recognise that vulnerable people include not only children and young people, but also Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, the elderly, people with disabilities, and people with identity and mental health challenges.

Southern Christian Church is committed to keeping people safe in our ministries, and this is led by our Administration Committee and our Safe Ministry contacts. Our policies (which include screening and training) cover all staff, leaders, pastors, coordinators, volunteers, trainees and anyone working on behalf of Southern Christian Church, whose usual duties involve or are likely to involve contact with a child or vulnerable person.

For more information you can download and view our Overarching Safe Ministry Policy and Management Process for incidents and other concerns.

If you have any concerns about the safety of someone at Southern Christian Church we strongly encourage you to share your concern with one of our Safe Ministry Contacts by clicking on the Safe Ministry Check badge below.
