What is Southern Play?
Southern Play is a playgroup run for the community by Southern Christian Church.
We run this program because we want to get to know young families who haven’t connected with a community of Christians before. We would love to welcome you into our playgroup community, and if you’re interested, give you opportunities to explore what Christians believe about Jesus.
Who Should come to Southern Play?
Southern Play is open to young children (age 0-5) and their parents/caregivers.
We welcome anyone from the community to join Southern Play, regardless of religious, cultural, or other background. Some of the families with young children from our church will be there, and we would all love to get to know you!
If you or your child is sick with a cough, fever, or shortness of breath, please stay at home for the benefit of the other families and our community. If your child has a runny nose but is otherwise well, we are happy for you to attend.
What are the detailS?
When: Fridays 9.30 to 11.30am during school terms.
Where: Southern Play meets at the Bandicoots Play Centre at the Cockburn ARC.

WHAT Happens at Southern Play?
Each week we begin with free play on the amazing soft play facilities at Bandicoots Play Centre. There is a craft activity set up for the kids to enjoy throughout the morning if they choose.
We bring our own morning tea to enjoy together, and end the morning with mat time, where the kids join in with songs and storytime. There are heaps of opportunities to enjoy connection and good conversation with other parents and caregivers, while the kids have a great morning playing together.
HOW CAN I JOIN?
If you’re interested in joining us, fill in a registration form and we’ll be in touch to let you know about current availability.
WHAT DO I BRING?
Please bring your own morning tea for your children. As we have some children with severe allergies, please avoid bringing food containing nuts.
