Get to Know Jesus

Get to Know Jesus is a chance to explore for yourself who Jesus is, why he came, and what Christianity is all about. We’ll explore these questions over relaxed, informal sessions, working through passages from the Bible, and giving plenty of opportunity for you to ask any questions. Feel free to come along and engage as much or as little as you’d like.

Whether you’d like to learn a little more about Christianity, or whether you’re a Christian who’d like a bit of a refresher on what Christianity is all about, we’d love for you to come along this term.

Get to Know Southern

If you’re a Christian who’s thinking of joining us at Southern Christian Church, then Get to Know Southern is designed especially for you! This is a chance to join us for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and find out a bit more about our church. Our lead pastor Ash will run through who we are, what we believe, what we’re doing in our local community, and what it would mean to join our church. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to ask questions about the church, and to meet a few other people from our church.

Wherever you’re at in the process of looking for a new church, this would be a great thing to come along to. We run this group each term on a Sunday from 12.30 to 2.30pm. If you’re still exploring Christianity, then you’re very welcome to come along, but Get to Know Jesus is the best place to start for an introduction to what Christianity is all about.

Living for Jesus

If you’d like to look deeply at what the Bible says about life as a follower of Jesus, then come along to Get to Know Living for Jesus. 

In this group, we’ll spend five sessions looking at what the Bible says on some key topics that are central to the Christian faith and life. We’ll look at topics like grace, faith, prayer, the Bible, church and evangelism, to help us to more deeply understand what it means to live for Jesus.

If you’re new at Southern, then this is a great thing to come along to, whether you’re a new Christian, or a Christian who’d like to spend some time working through these important topics.  If you’re still exploring Christianity, then you’re very welcome to come along, but Get to Know Jesus is the best place to start for an introduction to what Christianity is all about.
