Ministry Training

At Southern we are keen to raise up and train the next generation of gospel workers. We offer two pathways for men and women to be trained in Christian ministry, the internship and the apprenticeship pathway. If you are interested in applying for either of these or would like more information, please contact our pastor, Ashley Horton, using the contact form below.

An intership at Southern is designed to be part-time and fit into one day per week.

An intership could suit someone preparing to take on a significant volunteer role at church. It would develop key ministry capacities.

An intership could also be suitable for a Bible college student who wishes to gain some practical ministry experience alongside their studies.

An apprenticeship with Southern is a two year, full-time committment to be trained in Christian ministry.

Tailored to the person focusing on equipping the apprentice in area they may not have tried before or have identified as areas for growth.

Apprenticeships may be undertaken under the Ministry Training Strategy (MTS).
