Jesus is who we’re on about.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is a man who was born in the Middle East more than 2000 years ago. You can read about the life and death of Jesus in the Bible if you look up the accounts by Matthew, Mark, Luke or John.

The Bible tells us that Jesus was not just an ordinary man, but the Son of God, the king of everything and the promised saviour of humankind.

The Bible also records the eyewitness accounts of people who saw Jesus come back to life after his death by crucifixion. Wow!

The risen Jesus eventually returned to his Father God in heaven but promised his followers that he would one day return to judge this world and bring in his new perfect kingdom.

And so Jesus is the only one who can offer us forgiveness from God and new eternal life in his kingdom.

Got Questions about Jesus?

There are heaps of ways to find out more! Here are our suggestions:

  • Read Matthew, Mark, Luke or John in the Bible. Go straight to the source! (Hint: Mark is the shortest and punchiest.)

  • Get an overview of the Bible’s message as a whole and what it means for every person. Start with the ‘Two Ways to Live’ video below or read it here. If you like animation, try this video by the Bible Project.

  • We run a short course over four weeks several times a year called Get to Know Jesus. Find out more here.

  • Go to a church to listen and ask questions. We’d love to meet people and explore questions about Jesus, life, death, shame, forgiveness, truth and meaning and more so feel free to contact us or show up to our Sunday service.

There’s no better time than now to get to know Jesus.
